The editor of the FASAB Digest is Allan Lund (pictured below).  Mr. Lund was involved with FASAB from its inception in October 1990 until October 2005.  During the period 1998-1999 he was a member of FASAB's Accounting and Auditing Policy Committee (AAPC).

Mr. Lund worked for Treasury's Financial Management Service (FMS) from February 1976 until he retired in October 2005.  He was a member of a small team that prepared Treasury's first prototype Consolidated Financial Statements of the U.S. Government in 1976 and in recent years was involved in preparing Treasury's audited Financial Report of the U.S. Government required by the Government Management Reform Act of 1994.

Prior to going to work for FMS, Mr. Lund worked as an auditor for Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Boston.

(In November 2008 Mr. Lund accepted a full-time position as a staff accountant with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington DC.)

Mr. Lund has a BA from Tufts University, a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and an MBA from Rutgers University Graduate School of Business Administration. He is a CPA and an attorney.
